Privacy Policy
Plain language, no surprises. This explains what Gamify collects, why, and the controls you have over it.
Gamify is in design and not yet shipped. Right now the only thing we collect is your email address — to hold your spot on the waitlist. The sections below describe the current state, with clear notes on what the app will collect once it launches.
1. Overview
Gamify is a personal-growth app that turns your effort — focus sessions and completed tasks — into XP and levels for real skills. The "you" in this policy means the person using the waitlist form or the app.
We aim to collect the minimum needed to run the product and nothing more. Your activity data (what you focused on, for how long, which tasks you finished) is entered by you and stays tied to your account. We don't buy data, sell data, or build ad profiles on you.
2. What we collect
Right now (waitlist)
Once the app ships
We do not collect: precise location, contacts, photos, messages, browsing history, or anything from other apps on your device.
3. How we use it
- Waitlist: to email you at launch and, rarely, to ask for early feedback. One-click unsubscribe in every email.
- Running the app: to store and show your XP, levels, streaks, logs, and the Areas/Skills you defined.
- Account access: to authenticate you and keep your data tied to your account across devices.
- Stability: to diagnose crashes and fix bugs using anonymous reports.
- Legal & safety: where required to comply with the law or protect against abuse of the service.
We never sell your data, and we never use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Storage & retention
Your data is stored on infrastructure provided by reputable cloud hosts. Activity data is kept for as long as your account is active — it's your record, and XP never decays by design.
Waitlist emails
We keep your email until launch, then until you ask us to remove it. Unsubscribing stops emails; emailing us removes the address entirely.
If you delete your account
Deleting your account erases your Areas, Skills, sessions, tasks, logs, and credentials. We may retain minimal anonymous, aggregated data (e.g., total XP distributed) that can no longer be tied to you, and backups are purged on their normal rotation.
5. Sharing & third parties
We share your data only in these situations:
- Service providers we rely on to operate — for example, an email delivery service for waitlist and launch emails, and a cloud host for the app's database. These providers process data on our behalf under contract and cannot use it for their own purposes.
- Legal obligations — if we're compelled to by valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Gamify, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — if Gamify is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may transfer with the service. We'd notify you before that happens.
We do not share your activity data with third parties for their own marketing or analytics.
6. Cookies
This website uses minimal cookies — only what's needed to show the page and remember your choices. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Once the app ships, it may use local device storage to keep your session active and the app working offline. No tracking SDKs, no ad networks.
7. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong — and in the app, you can edit your own logs, tasks, and sessions directly.
- Delete your account and the data tied to it.
- Export your activity data (a plain format you can take elsewhere) — available at launch.
- Unsubscribe from waitlist or launch emails with one click, from any email we send.
To exercise any of these, email the address below. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have additional rights — we'll honor them.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access limited to the people and systems that need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify affected users if a breach ever occurs.
9. Children
Gamify isn't directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU/UK). We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us their email or signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as Gamify evolves — most notably at launch, when the app starts collecting activity data. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app.

We collect your email for the waitlist now. At launch, we'll store the effort you log so the app can show your growth. We don't sell it, don't track you across the web, and you can delete everything whenever you want.
